A puffin with his lunch in Vestmannaeyjar. You can see an incredible amount of puffins here, which is why Vestmannaeyjar is also called the Puffin Capital of Iceland. In the early summer months, the birds make their way to the islands and form one of the largest puffin settlements in the world. Annually, more than 1.1 million pairs of puffins come to the islands to nest along the coast.
